Samir Manji

Samir Manji is the founder and CEO of Sandpiper.

Mr. Manji has over 25 years of experience in real estate and seniors housing. Prior to Sandpiper, he was the founder, Chairman and CEO of Amica Mature Lifestyles, a TSX-listed company from 1997 until its sale to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in 2015 for the highest premium ever achieved in the Canadian public real estate industry.

Mr. Manji has been involved in over $10 billion in hospitality, seniors housing and multi-family residential real estate acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. Manji is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, was recognized in 2006 as a recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 and received an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2010.

Mr. Manji graduated from the University of Waterloo and received his CPA, CA with KPMG LLP. He currently the President and CEO and a Trustee of Artis REIT. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Extendicare Inc. and is a former trustee of Granite REIT. Mr. Manji is CEO and Ultimate Designated Person of Sandpiper Investment Services Inc.
